“Do a loony-goony dance
‘Cross the kitchen floor,
Put something silly in the world
That ain’t been there before.”
— Shel Silverstein, A light in the Attic
There are so many important things in the world. I think this is one of them. There is something special about making someone that you love laugh. Not being laughed at. Not being the malicious butt of someone else’s joke. But knowing that you have the ability to choose to do something that will make someone else laugh.
Make a silly face, do a funny dance, invent a new way of walking, use a silly voice. Do something ridiculous just because you know that it will make someone else happy. And then join them. And laugh until it hurts.
Make a new memory.
